Filming on Shad Thames - 11 September

Please note there will be a large scale period shoot filming on Shad Thames on the 11th September. All activity will be between 08:00- 21:00.

 

There will be some dressing of the shops so to look like a rag market but please note access and egress will be maintained at all times.

 

In order to facilitate the filming there will be a reduced crew on site on the 9th September (from 09:00- 20:00) and the 10th September (from 08:00-21:00) dressing the shop fronts.

Join us for refreshments and hear from different speakers about the past, present and future identity of the area.

A short guided walk around Shad Thames, taking in historical buildings as well as current and future developments.

 

·      12.30  Visit to Anise Gallery, 13a Shad Thames

Drop in to see Scents of Shad Thames.: Exploring history through the senses, a multi-sensory exhibition which includes discovering Shad Thames through virtual reality and other unexpected ways.

A busy September in Shad Thames – why not join in?


STAMP are excited to be part of the Totally Thames festival www.totallythames.org for the third year running.  The festival takes place along the full length of the River Thames throughout September.  But you don’t need to go far to enjoy it – there’s plenty happening right here in Shad Thames.

Free, no booking required. Just join us at the meeting point at the times indicated and enjoy some Shad Thames hospitality! 

  • 10.30 - coffee and an introduction, then board a boat moored nearby to hear about Thames watermen and modern life on the River Thames
  • 12 noon - focus on local brewing history.  Enjoy some beer, say hello to Jacob the bronze dray horse at The Circle, then meet some real dray horses visiting Butlers Wharf
  • 14.00 – find out how the 19th century docks and their 20th century regeneration shaped the area, and how this regeneration process continues today

Annual General Meeting 2017

 

Thank you to all of you who attended our 2017 AGM.

 

We held this on Tuesday 23 November at 7pm at Southwark Council Offices, Tooley Street, London SE1 2TZ
